Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has revealed that the club received a number of offers for Italian striker Mario Balotelli this summer.
The 21-year-old impressed for Italy at Euro 2012 as his country reached the final, and Mancini has admitted that "four or five teams" made offers.
"There were four or five teams. Not just from Italy also from France. Many important teams wanted him but he's a top player and I never thought about saying yes to any of them," he told reporters.
City face Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday.
