Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini believes that Carlos Tevez will continue to play for the club.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says he believes that Carlos Tevez will continue to play for the club.

The Argentine striker has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Eastlands, insisting that he wants to be nearer to his two daughters, who live in Argentina.

"I think that he will continue to play for us," Mancini told BBC Sport. "But I don't think he is ready, he needs another week or 10 days to be ready."

Mancini was speaking after his side went top of the Premier League with a 3-2 away victory against Bolton Wanderers.
