Manchester City chief executive Garry Cook is confident that Carlos Tevez will form a lucrative striking partnership with new signing Sergio Aguero.
Tevez has made no secret of his wish to leave Eastlands, and was strongly linked to a move to Brazilian side Corinthians earlier this summer before a proposed deal fell through.
However, Cook has revealed that he believes Tevez will remain a City player when the transfer window closes.
"He is still a Manchester City player and to see him playing alongside Aguero is going to be pretty exciting for all the City fans," Cook told BBC Radio Five Live.
City's record signing Aguero made his debut during City’s 4-0 victory of Swansea City on Monday, contributing two goals after coming off the bench in the second half.
