Nolito to join Manchester City, claims attacker's uncle

Nolito's uncle claims that the Spanish international will swap Celta Vigo for Manchester City in this summer's transfer window.

Spain forward Nolito will swap Celta Vigo for Manchester City this summer, according to the player's uncle.

Nolito's future has been the subject of much speculation after it was learned that the attacker has a release clause in the region of £14m in his current deal.

Barcelona were believed to be the favourites to re-sign the 29-year-old, but Man City have now agreed a deal to sign the Spain international, according to Nolito's uncle Manuel Rodriguez.

"He is leaving, for sure, he is just waiting to finish the European Championships but the [deal] with City is almost done," Rodriguez told La Sexta.

"[Manchester City] is one of the best teams in the world right now and they have money. Guardiola called him a week ago. He is going to City because of him. If City had another manager I think he wouldn't have gone."

Nolito, who is currently on Spain duty at Euro 2016, has scored 25 times in his last two seasons with Celta.
