Report: Manchester City want Ever Banega

A report claims that Manchester City want to sign Sevilla's Argentine midfielder Ever Banega.

Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega.

The 27-year-old joined Sevilla from Valencia in 2014 following a loan spell at his first club, Boca Juniors.

A host of off-the-field issues plagued the midfielder in the early part of his career, but he has found consistency at the Estadio Ramon and played a key part in their Europa League success last season.

According to The Sun, Banega's performance against Manchester City in the Champions League last week caught the attention of the Premier League club, who are expected to boost their squad in January.

Banega, who is a 35-time Argentina international, is still on the same contract that he signed upon joining Sevilla in the summer of 2014.
