Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has claimed that Sergio Aguero is edging closer to fitness, but is not yet "100%".
The 27-year-old has been on the sidelines for almost three weeks after picking up a hamstring injury while playing for Argentina against Ecuador.
The striker, who was initially ruled out for a month, hoped to be back in time to play in Argentina's 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Brazil and Colombia in November, but he has not been included in the squad.
"Sergio is improving from his injury, but he has some time more to be a 100%," Pellegrini told reporters.
Aguero has scored eight goals in all competitions so far this season.
