Manuel Pellegrini will reportedly make Jesus Navas his first signing if he is appointed successor to Roberto Mancini at Manchester City.
The Malaga coach is hot favourite to replace the sacked Italian at Eastlands, with some reports claiming that an agreement has already been reached for the former Real Madrid boss to switch Spain for England.
According to the Daily Star, Pellegrini wants to bring Sevilla winger Navas with him from La Liga to address the Etihad Stadium outfit's shortage of wide options.
Spanish publication Marca reports that recently-appointed director of football Txiki Begiristain has identified Navas as City's number one transfer target this summer.
The 27-year-old Spain international has previously been linked with London duo Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
