Ashley Young: United will go for win in Switzerland

Ashley Young says that Manchester United will not settle for a draw against FC Basel.

Ashley Young is adamant that Manchester United will go on the attack in their make-or-break Champions League game against FC Basel on Wednesday night.

Young has made it clear that the Premier League champions will not be adopting a safety-first approach to the game. After a stuttering campaign so far, United must avoid defeat in Switzerland to book their place in the draw for the last sixteen.

"It would be dangerous to think we only need a draw," said the former Aston Villa winger.

"No-one at this club has that mentality. We still have it in our hands to go there and qualify, which was the main target and we will be trying to win."

Young travelled with the Manchester United squad to Switzerland this morning.
