Euro 2012 has been dominated by talk of Wayne Rooney. Pundits, journalists and fans first of all debated how his two-match suspension would affect England.
Then, when he returned against Ukraine last night, the Manchester United striker stole the headlines by heading in the only goal of the game.
Sports Mole is not one to buck a trend so we have produced our own Rooney article, albeit with a twist! Major tournaments of yesteryear have been dominated by talks of the WAG culture and here we have profiled one of the most famous - Mrs Coleen Rooney.
Coleen Mary McLaughlin, like Wayne, was born and raised in Liverpool. Unlike Wayne, Coleen left school with 11 GCSEs, including an A* for Performing Arts.
It was at school where she met her future husband, whom she reportedly began dating at the age of 16. Several newspapers have since carried the story that Wayne took his new love to watch Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me on one of their first dates - classy!
As Wayne's career went from strength to strength with Man United and England, so did Coleen's.
In truth, there are not many things that the 26-year-old has not tried her hand at. She has had columns in magazines and newspapers, attempted television presenting, put her name to beauty products and clothing, modelling, made a fitness DVD and written an autobiography! And that is just within the last four or five years!
Having been together for a number of years, the pair finally tied the knot in 2008 in the Italian town of Villa Durazzo. OK! magazine are said to have paid around £2m to gain exclusive pictures of arguably the biggest football wedding since 'Posh n Becks'.
More good news followed a year later when Coleen gave birth to their first son, Kai, at a hospital in Liverpool.
It would be fair to say that it has not been all been plain sailing for Wazza and his wife of four years though. She has been forced to stand by her man while the tabloids carried stories of his alleged affairs.
Those reports appear to be behind the couple these days, having been pictured looking rather happy with themselves during a recent break to Las Vegas.
Coleen, who is not in Krakow with Wayne at the moment, showed her support for her husband and the nation last night by tweeting: "There's lots of screaming in our house!!!! Yayyyyyy Dadddddyyyy!!!!!" and "Thanks for all the lovely tweets about @WayneRooney and England tonight!!! Glad your houses were as happy as ours!! Goodnight Godbless xxx."
England fans will be hoping to see similar messages on her timeline over the coming days!
