France teammates Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane were reportedly involved in a row following their Euro 2020 exit, amid rumours linking Varane with a move to Man United.

France internationals Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane were reportedly involved in an argument following the national side's Euro 2020 exit.

Didier Deschamps's side squandered a 3-1 lead against Switzerland in the last 16 which meant that the game was sent into extra time and then penalties, with the Swiss knocking out the world champions.

Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard is said to have voiced his concerns about Pogba's reluctance to help the team when out of possession, and Pogba is believed to have heard this through Manchester United-linked Varane.

The Real Madrid centre-back told Pogba "Benj thinks you are not defending enough" which, according to The Mirror, sparked a row between the French players.

The report claims that Pogba later apologised to Varane, who could be paired with his international teammate at Old Trafford this summer, with his contract at the Bernabeu set to expire next summer.

Real Madrid reportedly do not want to sell Varane, but may be forced to if they do not want to lose him on a free transfer next year.
