Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that Stuart Dallas could be in contention to feature against Manchester United on Sunday.

The versatile Northern Irishman was forced off just eight minutes into the 3-0 defeat at Everton last weekend after an innocuous collision with Alex Iwobi, but has since taken part in light training.

Dallas' replacement Leo Hjelde was also unable to finish the game after picking up a knee injury, and the Norwegian defender may require surgery.

Speaking to the press ahead of their Premier League clash with the Red Devils, Bielsa said: "Dallas is recovering, he hasn't been discarded from Sunday's game.

"Hjelde has an injury in his knee, and if the process of the next three weeks is effective he would be available in that term. But it could happen that he may not recover in those 20 days which would result in him having to have a surgery."

Bielsa also provided an update on club captain Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips (both hamstring) and Patrick Bamford (foot), with all three ruled out of Sunday's game.

"Kalvin and Cooper continue their normal processes. The objective is that they get to March available. The medical calculation was 12 weeks and that hasn't changed. [Bamford] continues with the same problem." the Argentine added.

Meanwhile, left-back Junior Firpo has been pictured in first-team training and could be in contention to feature in Sunday's matchday squad, after a month's layoff with a hamstring problem.
