AC Milan 'to appoint Ralf Rangnick'

AC Milan reportedly agree a deal with Ralf Rangnick for Red Bull's head of sport to become their new manager in the summer.

Red Bull's head of sport Ralf Rangnick has reportedly agreed to become the new manager of AC Milan.

Having previously been in charge of Schalke 04 and RB Leipzig, Rangnick is currently in his first season working behind the scenes at Red Bull.

Earlier this week, Rangnick was also linked with a move to Manchester United, who are in the market for a new technical director.

However, according to L'Equipe, the 61-year-old is in line to replace Stefano Pioli in the San Siro dugout at the end of the season.

The alleged development comes despite Pioli recording nine wins and six draws from his 20 games in charge of the Serie A giants.

The report adds that Rangnick will be provided with full control of transfers should he take up the position in the summer.
