Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has revealed that Paul Scholes is the greatest player he has ever played alongside.
The 35-year-old joined United from Tottenham Hotspur 10 years ago and played with Scholes for six seasons before the latter retired.
Having also shared a field with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs, Carrick chose Scholes as the one player he would pick above anyone else.
When asked who is the greatest player he has played with, Carrick told United's official website: "Alongside me, I'd have to say Scholesy."
Carrick has been handed just 12 minutes of Premier League football for United so far this season.
