Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has insisted that the team is not getting carried away after going top of the Premier League table.

A 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion was enough to send the Red Devils one point clear as rivals Manchester City slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Swansea City.

"We're not taking anything for granted," Carrick told talkSPORT. "We're top of the league at the moment but we still have to pick enough points up between now and the end."

United will now be looking to overturn a 3-2 deficit when they travel to Athletic Bilbao in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie on Thursday.
