Chelsea are reportedly frustrated with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger following their criticism of the Blues' handling of the case against referee Mark Clattenburg.

The Chelsea hierarchy have reportedly been angered by the views of Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger regarding the case against referee Mark Clattenburg.

The Champions League winners launched a complaint to the Football Association accusing Clattenburg of using "inappropriate language" while addressing midfielder John Obi Mikel during the Blues' 3-2 defeat to Manchester United a fortnight ago.

Ferguson responded to the claims by giving his backing to the match official, while Wenger insisted that Chelsea should have dealt with the issue privately.

Chelsea officials are believed to be angry by their responses and think that both managers should have kept their views to themselves, according to The Express.

Meanwhile, while the FA and the Metropolitan Police continue to investigate the incident, Clattenburg has been left out of officiating any of this weekend's Premier League fixtures.
