Radamel Falcao: 'Playing for Manchester United is a dream'

Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao says that he will "always remember" his first goal for the club earlier this season because he is 'living the dream' at Old Trafford.

Radamel Falcao has vowed to repay supporters for sticking by him during his recent injury setback, claiming that playing for Manchester United is a dream come true.

The Colombian striker has been restricted to making just two starts since his move from Monaco to Old Trafford in the summer.

Various injury issues have plagued Falcao's year, even forcing him to miss the World Cup, which has cast serious doubt over his long-term future at the club.

United have a reported £43.5m deal in place to sign the 28-year-old on a long-term deal at the end of the season should he prove himself in the coming months, and he has made it clear that he is beginning to feel right at home in his new surroundings.

"Obviously to be here is a dream for me and I always worked to be here," the former Atletico Madrid forward is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "So, my first goal for Manchester United [against Everton] I will always remember.

"I like being in England and enjoy it. It is a new culture and a new language. I want to learn more of this language and I will study so then it will be even easier to live here. I was always told that the Premier League would suit my playing style and England has always attracted me.

"Ever since I was a child I always wanted to come here, so much so that I learned the language. So I was preparing myself in some way for a future move to England. I think the best way I can repay the supporters for their kindness towards me, and for all their love, support and appreciation, is to score goals and win trophies for them."

Falcao has scored two goals in his nine appearances for the Red Devils.
