Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes that Danny Welbeck will play his part in England's Euro 2012 exploits in the summer.
Welbeck, 21, made his England debut in March of last year during a loan spell at Sunderland.
England boss Fabio Capello is known to be a keen admirer of Welbeck's talents, and Ferguson has stated that he expects the young striker to make the Euro 2012 squad.
"I think he will be in the squad. He is developing into a very strong athlete and when he gets moving, he is really quick," Ferguson told Sky Sports News.
"He was always a decent goalscorer but when he plays regularly for us he has been getting a goal a game."
Welbeck has scored nine goals in 21 appearances for United this season.
