Liverpool and Manchester United go head to head for a highly-anticipated FA Cup fourth-round clash at Anfield.

Liverpool and Manchester United head into battle in the FA Cup fourth round tomorrow at Anfield.

The arch rivals face each other for the first time since the explosive racism row surrounding Reds striker Luis Suarez and United defender Patrice Evra.

While the Liverpool frontman is ineligible to play due to an eight-match ban, Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to start Patrice Evra on Merseyside.

Kenny Dalglish is likely to keep the same team that defeated Manchester City to reach the Carling Cup semi-final in midweek, with the exception of Craig Bellamy, who could make way for Andy Carroll.

Manchester United are expected to be without injured winger Nani as well as Rio Ferdinand, who missed the Premier League champions' 2-1 victory over Arsenal last weekend.

Valencia should retain his place after his goal against the Gunners, while there are doubts over the fitness of Wayne Rooney, who has reportedly not trained all week with an ankle injury.

Despite reports, it is a possibility that the England international will start for Ferguson alongside Danny Welbeck up front.

Current form:

Liverpool: DWLDLD
Manchester United: WWLLWW

Possible lineups:

Liverpool: Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique; Downing, Gerrard, Adam, Henderson; Kuyt, Carroll

Manchester United: Lindegaard; Rafael, Smalling, Evans, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Giggs, Park; Rooney Welbeck

Sports Mole says: 1-1
