Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs not considering retirement

Manchester United star Ryan Giggs insists that he is not thinking about retiring from football, despite turning 40 tomorrow.

Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs has insisted that the thought of hanging up his boots has not entered his mind.

The midfielder, who was given a coaching role alongside his playing duties at United in the summer, turns 40 tomorrow.

"I have always thought 'don't think about the moment too much,'" Giggs told the Manchester Evening News. "I always assess things after a few games rather than one specific match.

"If you cannot get to players in training or in matches and that has been going on for about ten matches, then you have to start thinking about your future.

"When you don't enjoy coming into training and that goes on for weeks, then you have to think, but at the moment that is not happening."

The Welshman started in last night's 5-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.
