Ryan Giggs: "The gap is bridgeable"

Ryan Giggs says that Manchester United can still claw their way back into the Premier League title race.

Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has not given up hope of winning the Premier League title despite suffering their fourth defeat of the season on Wednesday.

The Red Devils are now 12 points off the pace set by Arsenal after Bryan Oviedo's 85th-minute winner for Everton at Old Trafford.

"The gap is bridgeable," the Manchester Evening News quotes the Welshman as saying. "Hopefully, we can start picking up points again but we will get a better idea come the new year.

"We have had a few disappointing results over the last couple of weeks. The performances haven't been that bad. Maybe we are just not getting the rub of the green or taking our chances when we should.

"It is the story of a few games this season. When we have been on top we have not taken our chances. If you do that in this league you are going to get punished."

United play host to Newcastle United tomorrow.
