Roy Keane: 'Jose Mourinho not my cup of tea'

Roy Keane reveals that new Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is 'not his cup of tea', but backs the Portuguese to deliver success at Old Trafford.

Roy Keane has revealed that new Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is 'not his cup of tea'.

Mourinho officially took charge of the Red Devils on a three-year contract last week and will lead the 20-time English champions into the 2016-17 campaign.

Former Man United captain Keane, however, has said that he finds the Portuguese "really irritating".

"He is not my cup of tea. I found him really irritating when I coached against him, but that is just a personal thing," Keane told ITV Sport.

"Working at Manchester United is all about winning and his CV will tell you he is a winner. He was always going to be a good option when United didn't qualify for the Champions League. He was available, fantastic CV and it seems like a good fit, but maybe he is not for me."

Man United have finished seventh, fourth and fifth in the Premier League table since Sir Alex Ferguson departed in 2013.
