Vincent Kompany: 'I have no problem with Manuel Pellegrini'

Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany says that he does not have a problem with coach Manuel Pellegrini following the club's derby draw with Manchester United.

Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany has insisted that he does not have a problem with manager Manuel Pellegrini following the club's draw in the Manchester derby on Sunday.

Kompany was restored to City's starting XI after missing the last two games, and the centre-back has now moved to state that his absence had nothing to do with any rift behind the scenes.

"I don't know how it looked from the outside but it didn't feel like a dynamic derby," said Kompany, according to BBC Sport.

"Both teams looked defensively solid. Everyone knows how much this game means to me. I was disappointed to be left out of the team but it is all about opinions. There is no problem with me and the manager."

Kompany's City side currently occupy first place in the Premier League standings.
