Paul Lambert claims that his Norwich's last meeting with Manchester United gave them a lot of belief.

Norwich City manager Paul Lambert has said that his side's October trip to Old Trafford gave them the belief that they can compete at the highest level.

The Canaries boss, whose team were lauded for their performance in the reverse fixture, insists that his men didn't dwell on the defeat and will be prepared to give the Red Devils their all again this afternoon.

"Win, lose, or draw, we go again, and that's been the secret to the team," he said. "We don't dwell on games.

"The game at Old Trafford gave us the belief that we can compete. We're up against a fabulous football club and we're going to have to be bang on it to get something.

"If you get a chance against a team of that stature then you have to try and take it."

Norwich are unbeaten at Carrow Road in the Premier League in 2012.
