Leicester City defender Harry Maguire has admitted that he is an "ambitious player" eager to "play at the highest level" amid reported interest from Manchester United.
The 25-year-old starred for England this summer, helping the Three Lions reach the semi-finals of the competition with a string of impressive performances in central defence.
As a result of his exploits for club and country, Maguire is believed to be on the radar of United boss Jose Mourinho, who reportedly wants to bolster his backline.
When asked by The Sun about the speculation, Maguire replied: "Every player wants to play at the highest level.
"I've just come back from playing at a World Cup, where I really enjoyed the high pressure of the games. It was something that I really thrived off.
"Leicester have been unbelievable to me and I'm really happy there but I'm also an ambitious player and everyone wants to play at the top."
Maguire played in all 38 of Leicester's Premier League matches during the 2017-18 campaign.
