Manchester United reveal that they will take on Swedish outfit AIK in their last pre-season friendly this summer.

Premier League champions Manchester United will conclude their pre-season preparations with a match in Stockholm.

The encounter, which will take place on Tuesday, August 6, will see David Moyes's team take on AIK at the Friends Arena.

"I'm delighted that the final game of our preparations for the 2013-14 season will be in the magnificent new home of Swedish football. This match is our first against AIK and will provide a tough test for the players as the new campaign approaches," United's outgoing chief executive David Gill told the club's official website.

"As a club, we have visited Sweden many times and, of course, one of our treble winners of 1999, Jesper Blomqvist, appeared 30 times for the Swedish national team, as well as playing – and scoring – against United for Gothenburg in the Champions League."

As well as the match in Sweden, the United squad will travel to the Far East and Australia for friendly encounters ahead of the new campaign.
