Manchester United to promote three youngsters to first-team squad?

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly identifies three more academy players to represent the first team later this season.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly plans to promote three more academy players to the first-team squad.

Throughout the first half of the campaign, Solskjaer has used the EFL Cup and Europa League to hand senior minutes to a number of players from the youth setup.

According to Manchester Evening News, that approach may continue in the coming months due to the injuries sustained to senior players and the exit of Ashley Young.

The report claims that Ethan Laird is in line to be given more opportunities at right-back, having twice featured in Europe before Christmas.

Midfielder Hannibal Mejbri, recently signed from Monaco, and forward Largie Ramazani could also come into the equation for their debuts.
