The sale of Manchester United is reportedly set to happen very soon, bringing an end to the Glazers' controversial ownership of the club.
The Glazer family put the club on the market last month, confirming that they would be 'exploring strategic opportunities' but also not ruling out a full sale.
The Athletic reports that the Red Devils are unlikely to spend in the January transfer window as the Raine Group, the bank overseeing the takeover, intend to complete a sale in early 2023.
A number of parties have been credited with an interest in buying the 20-time English champions, including potential suitors from Saudi Arabia, UAE and England.
The report claims that a takeover could occur "very soon", and likely before the end of the current Premier League season.
The Glazers have owned Man United since 2005, securing the club with a leveraged buyout which saddled them with debt, leading to protests from fans which only intensified after the attempt to join the European Super League.
