Manchester United suffered most injuries last season

Manchester United had a total of 39 injuries last season, while Newcastle United players were out the longest combined time.

Manchester United recorded the most injuries of any Premier League club last season, according to a survey.

Louis van Gaal's side had 39 players ruled out throughout their campaign, where they qualified for the Champions League by finishing fourth.

The survey, compiled by physioroom.com, showed that Newcastle United had players out for the longest time, 1,871 days in total compared to the Red Devils' 1,348.

In between the two United clubs were Arsenal, in second on 1,466 days and 35 players injured, and Everton, on 1,423 days.

Meanwhile, champions Chelsea came bottom of the list, with just 19 players out totalling 428 days.
