David Moyes "determined" to put things right

Manchester United boss David Moyes reveals that he is determined to transform the club's fortunes after a challenging first season in charge.

Manchester United boss David Moyes has revealed that he is determined to transform the club's fortunes after a challenging first season in charge.

A banner reading "Wrong One - Moyes Out" was flown over Old Trafford at the start of United's 4-1 victory over Aston Villa today in protest of the Scot.

The Red Devils remain seventh in the Premier League table, nine points adrift of a top-four spot, and the 50-year-old insists that he is focused on the "big job" needed to put things right.

"I've always found the crowd at Old Trafford has been terrific," he told reporters.

"I've not found what people are saying or writing: I've actually found the majority of people are very supportive and understand the job we are doing.

"We know we have a big job to do here and we are determined to put it right."

Wayne Rooney scored two first-half goals to cancel out Ashley Westwood's opener, before further strikes from Juan Mata and Javier Hernandez capped a comeback win for the Red Devils over the Villains.
