Gary Neville: 'Liverpool trip is Manchester United's biggest game of the season'

Gary Neville believes that Manchester United's visit to Anfield is the biggest game of their season so far.

Gary Neville has said that he believes Manchester United's trip to Liverpool on Saturday is the biggest game of their season so far.

United are unbeaten in the league, having won six of their opening seven games, and sit in second, behind rivals Manchester City on goal difference.

The Red Devils are yet to face any of last season's top seven in the league this year, and Neville thinks that the visit to Anfield is a huge game for them.

"United have played a lot of the lower teams, so this is their first real test," said Neville in his column for Sky Sports News.

"Anfield away is the ultimate test, mentally and physically with the intensity. I was never excited about going to Anfield. There was always too much at stake."

United midfielder Marouane Fellaini and Liverpool winger Sadio Mane will both miss the clash, having picked up injuries on international duty.
