Mauricio Pochettino: 'Southampton must remain grounded'

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino says that his players will not get carried away after their good start to the league season.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that his players should keep their feet on the ground after their strong start to the season.

The Saints, who have lost just one of their opening seven fixtures, currently sit fourth in the table.

Southampton face Manchester United on Saturday and Pochettino has said that the players are confident of securing a positive result.

"It's one thing to be confident, but another to be complacent," Pochettino told Soccerway.

"We will have to work hard to get something from this game. The players fully believe in how we're playing, and that enables us to get the results we're getting.

"We need to keep our feet on the ground, though. There is a lot of the season left to play. Teams are already looking at us in a different manner and respecting us more. With every win, matches become harder."

Southampton ran out 2-0 winners over Swansea City in their last league match a fortnight ago.
