Wayne Rooney will reportedly return to the Manchester United squad for tomorrow's trip to Liverpool.
The England international has been out of action since receiving a deep gash in a challenge with Fulham striker Hugo Rodallega last month.
Boss Sir Alex Ferguson ruled the striker out of the match during his press conference on Friday, insisting that he would not return until next weekend.
However, a number of reports have claimed that the 26-year-old has done enough in training to convince Ferguson of his fitness ahead of the match at Anfield.
Should Rooney be involved, he is likely to start the match on the bench.
