Alexis Sanchez has reportedly been doing extra training sessions in order to turn his form around at Manchester United.

The 29-year-old completed a high-profile switch to Old Trafford from Premier League rivals Arsenal in January.

However, Sanchez has scored just one goal in 10 appearances and was overlooked for selection in the 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Earlier this month, the Chilean was pictured dining alone in the canteen at United's training complex, with media reports deeming it to be a sign of unhappiness and isolation.

However, the Daily Star claims that Sanchez has been eating alone because he is often last off the training ground.

The outlet quotes a source as saying: "He regularly does an extra 30 minutes working on free kicks and shooting after the main session has finished up.

"By the time he has showered and changed, the majority of his teammates have finished eating and gone."

Sanchez is currently on international duty with Chile for the friendlies against Sweden and Denmark.
