Sir Alex Ferguson says that Manchester United's injuries are beginning to clear up.

Sir Alex Ferguson believes that Manchester United's injury problems are finally beginning to clear.

Injuries have dominated the first half of the reigning champions' campaign, with the midfield being hit particularly badly.

Anderson and Tom Cleverley are both out until next year and Darren Fletcher has been forced to take a break from football altogether. Captain Nemanja Vidic is also out for the season with knee ligament damage.

"The injuries are improving a bit, it's getting a little bit better," said the Scot.

"It's good to have those [Berbatov and Hernandez] back, and Rafa's (Rafael) training now, he maybe just needs a reserve game.

"Obviously, we'd still like to have Anderson and Cleverley back, and a couple of others, but in the main we're pleased with what we've got at the moment."

United currently sit in 2nd place, two points behind leaders Manchester City.
