Louis van Gaal dissatisfied with Manchester United display

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal reveals that he was dissatisfied with his side's display in their 3-1 victory over Burnley in the Premier League.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has admitted that he was displeased with his side's performance against Burnley despite securing a 3-1 victory at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils took the lead through Chris Smalling, but the Clarets battled back as Danny Ings notched their equaliser minutes later.

Sean Dyche's men had the better of the opportunities to take the lead before Smalling made the visitors pay with his second goal, while Robin van Persie made sure of the points from the penalty spot in the second half.

Van Gaal told BBC Sport: "I didn't like this performance today. Of course, we have won and the result is fantastic. But after this match you cannot say that we are going up and I want to progress every match."

Daley Blind and Phil Jones sustained injuries during the match, and the 63-year-old has conceded that he has concerns about the problem suffered by the England international.

He added: "Daley Blind has a headache and maybe tomorrow it is better. I don't think Blind will be out for next Monday's game. But for Phil Jones, I fear. I don't know. We'll have to wait and see tomorrow."

United are third in the Premier League, five points behind rivals Manchester City in second place.
