Louis van Gaal: 'Two points from nine is disappointing'

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal claims that two points from nine is "disappointing" for a club like the Red Devils after a 0-0 away draw at Burnley.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has expressed his disappointment after his side drew 0-0 away at Burnley in today's Premier League clash at Turf Moor.

Despite dominating possession in the second half and boasting new British record signing Angel di Maria, the Red Devils were unable to breach the Clarets' defence.

Van Gaal told BT Sport after the game: "We were the stronger team, certainly in the second half.

"We created chances but you have to score. That is where we have failed. The progress is there but you have to win.

"A club like Manchester United has to win. We have two points from nine and that's disappointing."

The result gives Burnley their first point of the season, moving them up to 18th in the table, while United sit 13th.
