Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has strongly denied suggestions that he has had a falling-out with assistant manager Ryan Giggs.
Reports emerged following the Red Devils' 1-0 victory over Newcastle United in the week claiming that there was a rift inside the United camp.
Giggs's muted celebration following Ashley Young's late winner at St James' Park was in stark contrast to that of Van Gaal, although the Dutchman has moved to play down these rumours.
"We have a very bad relationship," he joked when asked about suggestions of a coming-together. "I'm very irritated because of this question because everyone can see we have a very good relationship and we work very hard together.
"I think it's a way of suggesting things. So then I'm very irritated and then I take my measures against the media. I'm not pleased. I think 90% [of suggestions] are not happening."
United are currently fourth in the Premier League table following a run of two defeats in their last 18 games.
