Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic could make a return from injury against Liverpool next weekend.

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is in line for a return against Liverpool at Anfield next Saturday, according to reports.

The 29-year-old has not featured for United since he injured his calf in their opening day win against West Bromwich Albion.

However, the centre-back has been granted permission to join up with the Serbian national squad and could make an appearance against Slovenia on Tuesday.

Vidic moved to Old Trafford from Spartak Moscow in 2006 for a fee of around £7m.
