Ian Wright expects Mesut Ozil to sign for Manchester United next summer

Ian Wright claims that Mesut Ozil is likely to join Manchester United from Arsenal in the summer when his contract expires.

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has claimed that Mesut Ozil is likely to join Manchester United in the summer.

The German World Cup winner is out of contract at the end of the season and there are no indications as yet that he will sign a new deal.

As it stands, Ozil can talk to clubs in January regarding a transfer, and widespread reports have claimed that United, as well as Barcelona, are interested in the midfielder.

"Mesut Ozil on a free to Manchester United on a free looks a shoo-in. I'm sure Jose [Mourinho] would love to do that," Wright told the BBC.

"That would frighten me to death. He is a great talent and having great players around him would lift him up as well."

Ozil has made 10 Premier League appearances so far this season.
