Ashley Young hopeful Manchester United can get result against Aston Villa

Ashley Young is confident that Manchester United can grab a victory against Aston Villa this weekend following their win over Shakhtar Donetsk.

Manchester United winger Ashley Young believes that his side's Champions League victory over Shakhtar Donetsk will give the team confidence heading into their meeting with Aston Villa.

The 28-year-old could face his former club this Sunday after starting in the Red Devils' 1-0 win over Shakhtar last night, which has taken them through to the knockout rounds as Group A winners.

Prior to Tuesday's result, United suffered back-to-back defeats at Old Trafford in the Premier League at the hands of Everton and Newcastle United.

"We want to get back to winning [every week] and there's no better place to go than Villa Park on Sunday and hopefully get another three points," Young told MUTV. "If we put on a display like we did against Shakhtar then we should be able to do that."

United are currently ninth in the league table.
