Wilfried Zaha is relieved to have opened his Manchester United account and admits that he had dreamt of his first goal for the club.

Wilfried Zaha has revealed that he had been dreaming of scoring his first goal in a Manchester United shirt.

The winger opened his pre-season account for the Red Devils with a 91st-minute equaliser against Cerezo Osaka earlier today, rescuing a 2-2 draw for his side.

Asked whether his failure to score had wound him up, Zaha told reporters: "It has really.

"Personally I feel I have done everything right and got in the right places but it wasn't going for me. There was always one defender who would come out of nowhere.

"I am just glad I managed to get a goal today because I have dreamt about that moment."

Zaha joined United in January of this year but was loaned back to Crystal Palace for the second half of last season.
