Southampton welcome Manchester United to the Saint Mary's Stadium on Sunday seeking their first win of the 2012-13 Premier League season.

The Saints went down 3-2 at Manchester City in their opening game of the new campaign and then trudged to a 2-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic at home.

United too kicked off their season with a loss, as they were beaten 1-0 by Everton in Liverpool.

However, Sir Alex Ferguson's side recovered to get the better of Fulham 3-2 at Old Trafford last weekend, with summer signing Shinji Kagawa and Robin van Persie both scoring.

Southampton are likely to be without Guilherme do Prado because of the midfielder's off-pitch indiscretions, while summer signings Maya Yoshida and Gaston Ramirez are unlikely to start.

United should deploy the same starting lineup as against Fulham last weekend. Defender Jonny Evans featured for the reserves in midweek but Ferguson is unlikely to start him at centre-back.

Striker Wayne Rooney is out for four weeks with a leg injury.

Current form:

Sports Mole says: 1-3
