Three Barcelona stars who could leave Camp Nou this summer

Sports Mole identifies three Barcelona players who could leave Camp Nou this summer in big-money deals.

Barcelona are under pressure to make some first-team sales during this summer's transfer window due to their ongoing financial issues, and a number of high-profile players have been linked with exits.

The Catalan outfit are expected to be active themselves, but for that to happen, departures will need to occur, and it is shaping up to be a fascinating transfer market for the club.

Hansi Flick is now in charge of Barcelona, and he will be working closely with president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco during the summer window.

Here, Sports Mole identifies three of the club's stars who could potentially be on their way out of Camp Nou ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

Ronald Araujo

Araujo's future remains the subject of much speculation, with both Bayern Munich and Manchester United believed to be considering moving for the Uruguay international this summer.

The centre-back is viewed as a key player by Barcelona, but they are allegedly finding it difficult to convince him to sign a new deal, with his existing terms expiring in two years.

There have been claims that Barcelona could receive as much as £80m for Araujo this summer, and the emergence of Pau Cubarsi has made them more open to the idea of selling the South American.

Araujo made 37 appearances for the Catalan side during the 2023-24 campaign, while he has represented the club on 150 occasions in all competitions.

Should Barcelona receive a bid of around £80m, it would be difficult to turn down.

Frenkie de Jong

De Jong is also close to entering the final two years of his contract with Barcelona, and he is another player being linked with a move away from the club this summer.

Man United are still said to have an interest, with the Red Devils planning to sign a central midfielder during the upcoming market, and De Jong is thought to have huge admirers at Old Trafford.

The former Ajax youngster, who was restricted to just 30 appearances in 2023-24 due to injury problems, would also allegedly cost around £80m.

Barcelona have two excellent young midfield talents in the shape of Pedri and Gavi, and if De Jong stalls on a new deal, he could be allowed to leave this summer.

Raphinha

Raphinha is also being heavily linked with a switch away from Barcelona, with teams from Saudi Arabia believed to be keen on the Brazil international.

The 27-year-old was in strong form for the Catalan side during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring 10 times and registering 13 assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.

Raphinha has another three years left to run on his deal, but Barcelona would find it difficult to turn down a sizeable offer during the summer market.

It is believed that a club from Saudi Arabia are willing to pay just over £85m for Raphinha, who arrived at Camp Nou from Leeds United in the summer of 2022.

There is also Premier League interest in the South American, but a lucrative switch to the Saudi Pro League could potentially be on the cards ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
