Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is reportedly prepared to join Roma on a loan deal.
The 32-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the Theatre of Dreams during the latest part of the 2024-25 campaign since the arrival of Ruben Amorim.
Casemiro has not featured in any of the last six matches for Man United, settling for a watching brief as his side beat Fulham 1-0 in the Premier League on the weekend.
Amorim has recently suggested that the Brazilian does not have a future in the first-team plans under his watch, meaning that a departure is likely.
Since making the high-profile move from Real Madrid during the summer of 2022, Casemiro has featured on 105 occasions for Man United, scoring 15 times.

Casemiro open to joining Roma?
According to Sky Sports News, Casemiro's stay on the red side of Manchester could be coming to a sad end before the conclusion of the winter window.
The report claims that the 32-year-old is wanted by Italian side Roma, who are looking to compete at the top end of the Serie A standings this term.
It is understood that Roma have asked for information about Casemiro, who is open to securing a switch to Stadio Olimpico before the February 3 deadline.
With the player no longer part of the plans at the Theatre of Dreams, Man United are supposedly keen to permanently offload the Brazilian this month.
However, it is believed that Roma are pushing for the temporary signing of Casemiro until the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign.

Man United's midfield options
After a success-laden spell at Real Madrid, Casemiro was meant to take Man United to the next level alongside the likes of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, the 75-time international has seen his performance levels decline massively during his first two years at Old Trafford under the reign of Erik ten Hag.
With Manuel Ugarte and youngster Kobbie Mainoo the first-choice pairing in midfield for Amorim, it appears that Casemiro will need a winter switch in order to enjoy regular football.
