Ander Herrera addresses transfer rumours

Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera concedes that he could leave Manchester United this summer when his contract expires.

Ander Herrera has conceded that he could leave Manchester United at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Herrera has been a key player for United over the last few months, but his current deal with the 20-time English champions will expire in June.

Paris Saint-Germain have been strongly linked with the Spaniard, while Arsenal are also believed to be interested in signing the 29-year-old on a free transfer this summer.

Herrera has said that he 'honestly does not know what is going to happen' when it comes to his future.

"It's logical when you have three months left on your contract and it is the international break," Herrera told El Periodico. "I knew something would come out. I take it with a pinch of salt, I'm focusing on playing football in the remaining month and a half of the season.

"I enjoy being at the biggest club in England, the fans love me, they have treated me phenomenally and I owe it to them to listen to what they say, but honestly I don't know what is going to happen. The rest I leave to my agent, both a possible contract renewal with United and talks with another club about my departure."

Earlier this week, it was reported that United were not prepared to meet the wage demands of Herrera, who has made 186 appearances for the Red Devils since a 2014 move from Athletic Bilbao.
