Arsenal are reportedly ready to rival Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera.

Arsenal have reportedly identified Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera as a potential summer signing.

Herrera is currently nearing the end of his fifth campaign at Old Trafford, and the 29-year-old's contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

The Spaniard would allegedly like to remain at United, but Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as a possible option for the player.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have also decided to monitor the situation with the club expected to have a limited transfer budget during the summer window.

The Gunners are unable to put together a pre-contract agreement with Herrera, but it has been claimed that the North London outfit hold a genuine interest in the former Athletic Bilbao man.
