Arsenal could move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on Marcus Rashford's situation at Manchester United, with the Gunners considering launching a summer move for the attacker.

The 26-year-old has struggled to show his best form for the Red Devils during the 2023-24 campaign, only managing four goals and six assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.

There has been a host of speculation surrounding his future over the last few days following the events of last week, with the Man United academy product being pictured out in Belfast on both Wednesday and Thursday evening before calling in sick to training on Friday.

Rashford was not involved in Sunday's FA Cup clash with Newport County, with the club maintaining that he was unwell, but head coach Erik ten Hag said after the game that he would "deal with" the situation.

On Monday, Man United released a statement confirming that the "internal matter" had been addressed, and Ten Hag reiterated that stance during his press conference on Wednesday.

Ten Hag said that the 26-year-old "has taken responsibility" for his actions and insisted that the matter was now "closed", with the forward set to be involved against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday.

The nightclub saga has allegedly angered his teammates, and there have been claims that Paris Saint-Germain are considering reigniting their interest this summer.

Man United allegedly have no intention of selling Rashford, with the club keen to move on from the events of last week, but according to Football Insider, Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the situation.

The report claims that the Gunners were heavily interested in Rashford during the summer of 2022 and could now reignite their interest during this summer's transfer window.

Rashford has represented Man United on 385 occasions in all competitions, scoring 127 goals and registering 74 assists in the process.

The forward enjoyed the best season of his career in 2022-23, scoring 30 goals and registering 11 assists in 56 appearances in all competitions.

However, the forward has struggled for consistency this term, and he has only netted three times from open play in the Premier League in 2023-24.

Man United handed Rashford a new and improved contract last summer, with his current agreement at Old Trafford due to run until June 2028.

Arsenal will be in the market for a new striker this summer, with head coach Mikel Arteta seemingly seeking an upgrade on both Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.
