Borussia Dortmund are reportedly set to enter the race to sign Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy, who has been on the radar of several top clubs across Europe ahead of the January transfer window.
Manchester United, AC Milan, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Real Madrid have all been among the high-profile names linked with the striker, who has a £15m release clause attached to his current contract.
Guirassy was on the scoresheet again when Stuttgart beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the DFB-Pokal last 16 last Wednesday.
According to Sport Bild, Dortmund are now the latest in a long line of clubs that are looking to secure the signing of the 27-year-old in the upcoming transfer window.
However, the report adds that The Black and Yellows would need to offload some of their existing strikers to make way for the Guinean international.
Niclas Fullkrug, Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko are the current forwards at Dortmund this season and could be on the chopping block.
It is believed that Fullkrug, who only joined Dortmund in the summer, is the least likely to leave, which could mean that Haller or Moukoko might be considered for a move away from Signal Iduna Park in the New Year.
Following Stuttgart's 2-0 win over Dortmund, Guirassy took his tally to 18 goals in 13 matches across all competitions this season.
