Real Madrid have reportedly opened talks with midfielder Eduardo Camavinga over a new contract to secure his future at the Bernabeu - a deal which is said to contain a £874m release clause.
The 20-year-old has been a key part of the Los Blancos midfield since making the switch from Ligue 1 club Rennes in the summer of 2021, appearing 82 times so far for Carlo Ancelotti's men.
Partnering the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in the Madrid midfield, Camavinga has appeared in 26 La Liga matches this season, as well as being a regular starter in the Champions League for the current holders.
According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid have opened talks with Camavinga and his representatives over a fresh contract at the club, amid interest from Premier League outfit Manchester United.
The report also claims that a new deal binding the France international to the Spanish giants would contain an £874m release clause in order to deter interest in the player - a tactic also employed in the contracts of Eder Militao, Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior.
Real Madrid's hopes of retaining their La Liga crown took a huge dent at Camp Nou on Sunday night, with a 2-1 loss against Barcelona extending the Catalan club's lead at the top of the standings to 12 points heading into the international break.
