Chelsea reportedly remain as the favourites to sign Kai Havertz after a number of clubs ended their interest in the Bayer Leverkusen playmaker.

Chelsea reportedly receive a boost in their efforts to sign Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz.

Last month, it was suggested that the Blues were regarded as the favourites to secure the 21-year-old's signature during the next transfer window.

However, Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the Germany international, who may cost in the region of £90m.

According to Goal, Chelsea may be given a clear run to sign Havertz after several teams were put off by Leverkusen's asking price.

While the West Londoners are well placed to bring in the Bundesliga side's key man, they will allegedly have to secure Champions League football.

Havertz contributed 12 goals and six assists in Germany's top flight this season.
